Selected collector's items from Germany:

BRECHT

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Bitburg-Prüm (until 1970 Bitburg)
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Bitburg-Land

Wappen von Brecht (Eifel)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 14, 1986.

The two towers represent the local chapel, which was first mentioned in 1570. The present chapel has two towers, one larger than the other, which can also be seen in the arms.

The wavy bend is the Prüm river that runs through the village. Historically there have been two watermills in the Prüm river, which is symbolised by the wheel in the lower part of the shield.
