I rött fält en stående med gloria försedd Sankt Botvidsbild av guld, hållande i högra handen en yxa och i den vänstra en fisk, båda av silver.
Origin/meaning
The arms were registered in 1974 and again in 1983.
The arms of Botkyrka contains an image of Sr. Botvid, which in his hands holds his attributes, an ax and a fish. The saint has given the place its name, and thinking about the last part of the name, kyrka (church), a saint is of course appropriate as a charge.
