The arms were granted on April 4, 1978.

The right half shows in the black and gold colours of the Pfalz region, in the upper part the symbol of Uranus and two hammers, symbols for the former mining in the area. The lower half shows a wavy bar, canting for the -bach part of the name (Bach=stream, brook). The left half shows the local Wolfskirche.
