Official blazon

In Blau ein goldener Bogen mit silberner Sehne über einem sechsstrahligen goldenen Stern.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted by the Dukes of Bayern on January 29, 1461.

The bow in the upper half of the arms is a canting element (Bogen=bow). The star is most likely an older village symbol. The colours are those of the Counts of Bogen and their successors, the Dukes of Bayern.
