The arms were granted in 1970 and show in the chief the typical arms of the Counts of Fürstenberg, who acquired the city of Blumberg in 1537.

The chief is based on the bordure from the arms of the Counts of Fürstenberg, who acquired the city of Blumberg in 1537.
 
The lower half shows symbols industry and two leaves; an oak leaf for the local Eichberg (oak-mountain) and a beech leaf for the Buchberg (beech-mountain).
 
Blumberg was founded as a town by the Lords of Blumberg around 1400. The oldest known seal dates from 1584 and shows a divided shiwld, with in the upper half the 'waves' of Fürstenberg and in the lower half a triple mountain. Around 1500 the town did not have its own arms, as by then on a border stone the arms of the lord of the town, Hans von Landau appeared.
 
A second seal was made in 1575 and also shows the same arms. In the 19th century the triple mountain disappears and the lower half is now plain. The colours are not known. Also, in the 19th century the designation Stadt (city) was replaced by Gemeinde (municipality).

The arms were granted on July 7, 1960.

The chief is based on the bordure from the arms of the Counts of Fürstenberg, who acquired the city of Blumberg in 1537.

The lower half shows symbols industry and two leaves; an oak leaf for the local Eichberg (oak-mountain) and a beech leaf for the Buchberg (beech-mountain).
