Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on ??

The flying vulture in the first quarter represents the municipality's aspiration to excel and shine in its activities and achieve its objectives, the sun in the second quarter represents the hope, the Marula and the cow represent the agricultural character of the municipality.

The motto 'Kodumela' means that in the municipality nothing comes easy and people have to work hard for everything they want to achieve.
