The arms were granted on October 19, 2001.
The show a number of stars, placed like the representation of an atom. This refers to the Bilibino nuclear power plant, as well as the development of the region, due to gold deposits found in 1955. The stars also reflect the many different origins of the people who built the village of Bilibino.
