Origin/meaning

The arms show (elements of) the arms of the former rulers of the village. The first ans fourth quarter refer to the Counts of Vianden, the 2nd and 3rd to the Lords of Larochette. The crosier refers to the Prüm Abbey, which also had several possessions in the area.
