Origin/meaning

The upper half shows elements of the arms of several families that owned the village historically; Courcelles et de Saint Clerc (fleur-de-lys), Du Vernet (saltire) and De Courtenay et de Béthune (besant). The goose is a symbol of St. Martin of Tours, the local patron saint.
