Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 2014.

The first quarter shows the arms of France and England, which appeared on the seal of the local Abbey in 1782. The second quarter shows the arms of two families who were generous donors for the religious buildings of the Abbey: the Gournay (black shield) and Fécamp. A William of Fécamp was also founder of the Abbey in 1128.

The third and fourth quarter show the arms of two families who were lords of the village, the Boulainvilliers dexter and sinister the Sesmaisons.

The inescutcheon shows the arms of the department of Seine-Maritime.
