BARST

Département : Moselle

Armoiries de Barst

Official blason

D’azur à la bordure d’argent, à l’agneau d’argent surmonté d’une fleur de lis d’or.

Origin/meaning

The lamb and the fleur-de-lys are the symbols of St. Wendelin, the patron saint of the village. The bordure is taken as a symbol for the Abbey of St. Glossinde of Metz, which had a number of possessions in the village.
