English Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: A silver gray rectangular insignia with a silver gray arced scroll attached above and below, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, the overall dimensions 3 5/8 inches (9.21 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width; centered on the insignia, the head of a cougar in profile couped at the neck, silver gray detailed and outlined blue; on the upper scroll, the inscription “BARRON” and on the lower scroll, “COLLIER” in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Origin/meaning

The shoulder sleeve insignia approved on 2 April 1980 was amended 13 June 1991 to add metric dimensions and to add subdued colors.
