BARAJEVO (Барајево)

Part of : Beograd/Belgrade

Arms (crest) of Barajevo

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms show in the upper part twelve wheatears, as a symbol for the 12 villages in the municipality and the (still) rural character of the municipality.

The base shows historical symbols for the Serbian Republic. The boar's head with an arrow has been used as one of the oldest Serbian symbols, whereas the firesteels are derived from the national arms.
