Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1951.

The main shield shows the nettle-leaf shield of the Counts of Schaumburg, who already in the 12th century built a fortified castle in the village. The escutcheon shows symbols of medicine, for the healthy waters that are found in the area, and which gave the right to use the prefix Bad.
