Baalborn.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1935.

The arms are based on the 16th century seal of Baalborn and Neukirchen. The council was created after the dissolution of the Otterberg Abbey in 1567 to which the area belonged. The squirrel is taken from the arms of the Abbey. The source is canting (Born is source) and also refer to the Baalnorn waters.
