Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1987.

The blue shield, bar and scallop are taken from the arms of the Bésiade d'Avaray family, former lords of the village. The two quails symbolise farming in the municipality. The chief is canting for the Three Mallets estate in the municipality.
