AUCHY-LÈS-HESDIN

Département : Pas-de-Calais

Auchy.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The above arms were proposed in 1994 and are derived from the arms of the Hesdin Abbey, founded in the 7th century by the Counts of Hesdin. The arms of the Abbey were in the 12th or 13th century based on the arms of the counts of Hesdin. The village developed around the abbey.

I have no idea whether the village actually adopted these arms.
