ARNOLDSTEIN

State : Kärnten
District : Villach-Land

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 30, 1956.

The sole charge is the black facade of a church with two towers inRomanesque style and decorated with a cross. The church stands upon a hill. The arms commemorate the Benedictine monastery of Arnoldstein, which was dissolved at the end of the 18th century. The remains of the monastery buildings occupy a hill and are a characteristic landmark in the municipality.
