Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 2006.

The tree symolises the forets on the Monte Hijedo mountain. The two crosiers refer to two locals who became high church officials (a bishop and archbishop). The base symbolises the bridges over the Ebro river in the municipality.Literature:
