The Archdiocese was founded in ca 300 AD. Armoria Sedium gives the Arms as "Quarterly 1&4 or, seme of crescents gules, a bell argent, 2&3 gules, a pale vair, a chiefor, a star (6) sable, surtout an escutcheon gules, three bars argent.
