Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on March 21, 2003.

The eagle in the first quarter is taken from the arms of the Lazary family, former lords of the village. The water mill refers to the 12 former water mills in the municipality. The third quarter refers to the Roman origin of the village. The fourth quarter indicates the importance of viticulture for the village. The inescutcheon shows the arms of Savoie.
