Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 5, 2011.

The district is located in the south of island Sakhalin, at the confluence of the river Lyutogi, in the bay of Lososei (Gulf of Aniva). The composition of the coat of arms indicates the geographical location of the urban district, and also allegorically reflect the developed fish industry.
