Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 17, 1962.

The arms are a combination of elements from the different municipalities in the Amt; the sun and wavy bar from Sonsbeck, the bell from [Hamb]] and the tiles of Labbeck.

The following municipalities belonged to Amt Sonsbeck :
