Official blazon

Im goldenen, von einem blauen Balken geteilten Schilde oben links Schlegel und Eisen in blau, rechts einen blauen, aufrecht stehenden Löwen, unten den gleichen Löwen; der Balken in der Mitte trägt ein goldenes, schrägrechts gerichtetes Blatt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1936 and are based on the arms of Goswin von Ailstorp from 1439.

The miner's hammers replaced one of the lions in the family arms and symbolise the mining in the area. The seal of Alstorp from the 14th century showd only the St. Mary.
