Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 30, 1938.

The arms are based on the seal of the Counts von Steinberg-Bodenburg, which ruled the village until the mid 19th century. The original meaning of the arms is not known, but the symbols are very approproate for the agricultural characte rof the village, a garb and a trefoil.
