In keel een uitkomende Sint-Aldegonde in kloostergewaad, in de rechterhand het boek van de Heilige Regel, in de linkerhand de staf van de abdis en boven het hoofd de duif met de sluier in zijn bek, alles van natuurlijke kleur.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 24, 1981.

The arms show the figure of Saint Adelgonde, the local patron saint, dressed as an Abbess and above her head a flying pigeon, holding a white veil. The combination already appeared on the local seal from 1680
