Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 8, 1996.

The crosier and the three golden balls are the symbols of St. Nicholas, patron saint of the village and the local abbey. The silver/blue division symbolises Bayern.

The horse is derived from the arms of the former Haag county, to which the village belonged. The silver pale in red is taken from the arms of the Fraunberg estate and family (096a.wsa.jpg). The estate was part of the present municipality.
