Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1966.

The upper part is derived from the arms of Bavaria, which in turn are the arms of the Wittelsbach family. The Wittelsbach family castle is situated in the district. The oak leaf is canting and also derived from the arms of the town of Aichach.
