AACH

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Konstanz

Aach.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms date already from the 13th century. The oldest known seal of the city dates from 1306 and shows already the lion with three stars. The lion probably is the lion of <a href=oos/ooshong/habsburg|Habsburg]], as the city already before the granting of the city rights in 1300 was a possession of the Habsburg family. The colours were finally officially described in 1902.
