ÜBERSAXEN

State : Vorarlberg
District : Feldkirch

Wappen von Übersaxen

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 3, 1970.

The sun refers to the fact that the Übersaxen is among the municipalities with the most hours of sunshine in Austria. The sun is shining over sime mountains, which make the arms canting (Über-saxen means above rocks).
