Arms of Nørhald

Origin/meaning

The arms were oficially registered in 1985.

The arms show two pitchforks, a symbol for the agricultural character of the area. The fork is taken from the arms of the medieval seal of Gjerlev Herred, to which the area belonged. The four horseshoes refer to the tradition of horse breeding and the many smithies in the area that made horseshoes. The blue colour refers to the coastline in the municipality.
