In Silber eine schwarze Fliege mit grünen Flügeln.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1903.

The arms show a fly, even though the name means Valley of Mosquitoes.The oldest seal from 1784 shows an insect, although it is not clear whether it is a fly or a mosquito.
