Origin/meaning

The village received town status and its arms on January 22, 1526 from King Ludvik of Bohemia on request of Jiri &#142;abka, who ruled the town at the time. The arms show in the upper half an eagle and in the lower a canting frog for Jiri &#142;abka (&#142;abka meaning small frog).
