D'oro al gatto seduto, rivoltato di tre quarti, di azzurro, abboccante il pesce posto in sbarra abbassata con la testa all'ingiù, rovesciato d'argento.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 16, 1991.

The arms show a blue cat holding a fish in its mouth, and refers to previous times when cats were used to defend the grain stocks of the old city (originally the cat had a mouse in its mouth).
