Official blazon

I blått fält en genomgående bro med överliggande båge av silver och därunder tre stockar av guld, ordnade 2,1 och bjälkvis ställda.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted to the Vännäs Landskommun on March 7, 1952 and continued after the merger in 1971.

The arms show the local bridge over the Umeälven and Vindelälven, two rivers that merge in the village. The blue cvolour also refers to the rivers. The base shows three planks, symbol for the importance of forestry and carpentry in the village.
