Origin/meaning

Tryškiai received city rights on May 15, 1792. At the same time an emblem, showing bow and arrow, were granted. The symbol was chosen as a symbol of defence, the town was on the border. The arms were most likely never used.

On December 13, 1989 the symbol was officially re-granted to the town.
