German Im gespaltenen Schild vorn in Silber am Spalt ein halber gold-bewehrter roter Adler mit goldenem Kleebattstengel; hinten schwarz-silbern geschacht (2 × gespalten, 6 × geteilt).

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1987.

The arms show the eagle of Brandenbubrg. The other half refers to the Schachbrettstein (checkerboards stone) in the local church. These stones are typical for the region.
