Escut caironat: d’atzur, un anyell pasqual d’argent nimbat d’or que porta la banderola de gules, amb la creu plena d’argent i l’asta creuada d’or, acompanyat a la punta per un lledoner d’or. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 29th January 2001.

La Pobla de Mafumet is represented traditionally by an Agnus Dei, or Paschal lamb, symbolizing St. John the Baptist, the local patron saint. The element below is a hackberry tree, "lledoner" in Catalan, because the main festivity of the village (every 2nd February) is dedicated to the Mare de Déu del Lledó (the Virgin of the Hackberry).
