Official blazon

Escudo cortado. Primero, de gules, una torre de oro, donjonada de tres donjones, mazonada de sable y aclarada de azur. Segundo, de sinople, un rodete o rueda de agua de oro. Al timbre corona real de España.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 24, 2010.

The tower is the tower of Castille and was already used on the seals in the 19th century (known from 1876). The base shows a water-mill wheel which is a symbol for th elocal textile industry, which was, for quite some time, the main source of income in the village.
