Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 1, 1994.
The cross symbolises the first chapel erected in the region, dedicated to St. Mary. The river symbolises the Turvo river. The lion is derived from the arms of the founders of the village.
The shield is flanked by orange and sugar cane, the main crops in the region.
