MÖHRA

District (Kreis) : Wartburgkreis
State : Thüringen
Incorporated into : 1994 Moorgrund

Arms of Möhra
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 7, 1994.

The village is well known as the birthplace of the church reformer Martin Luther. This is also reflected by the arms. The linden tree is the former Lutherlinde in the village. The symbol in the centre is the Lutheran rose, symbol of the family and later of the Lutheran Church.
