English | White; three bars couped wavy blue surmounted by a roebuck's head erased proper gorged with a ducal crown proper. |
Origin/meaning
William Dampier (1652-1715) cirumnavigated the World three times, first in command of the Ship Roebuck (symbolised by the Roebuck's Head) and lastly in the Duke 1708-1711 as Pilot to Captain Woode Rogers. This is symbolises by the Ducal Crown. The Badge was approved in 1947.
