Official blazon

A white vertical ellipse edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) dark blue border within a white vertical elliptical designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) dark blue border and inscribed in base “SPARTANBURG VIKINGS” in dark blue letters; surmounted by a gold stylized Viking head in white helm with gold horns, all outlined in dark blue.


Origin/meaning

Gold, dark blue, and white are the school colors. The Viking is the mascot. The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 29 August 1996.
