Origin/meaning

Mudersbach belonged in medieval times to the "Perdium liberorum virorum" (Land of the free), a region which was directly under Imperial rule. Hence the use of the Imperial Eagle in the arms. Later the area became part of the State of Trier, which is symbolised by the red cross.

The oven is a typical medieval oven, excavated in the village, and used for production of iron. The green refers to the agricultural character of the municipality.
