Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in July 2018.

The castle (Burg) is a canting symbol, and the three towers symbolise the municipalities of Neuburg, Steinhausen and Hagebök. The 15 merlons refer to the 15 settlements in the municipality. The stone bridge in the base refers to the trade and roads to the main cities of Wismar and Lübeck. The blue base and fish refer to the Farpen Lake.
