Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The chief shows a monolith, symbol for the ancient population of the area. Many monoliths can be found in the municipality. The five stones represent the five hamlets and villages in the municipality. The colours are derived from the State of Münster, to which the village belonged until 1803.
The lower part shows the Mittel- and Südradde rivers and the green colour symbolises the agricultural character of the municipality.
