Origin/meaning
The beech is a canting element. The village was mentioned in 1105 as Bochla, where Boch means beech. The four branches symbolise the four villages, Hafsbüttel, Seebeck, Kransmoor and Langenfelde in the municipality. The scythe is a symbol of agriculture, as is the green colour of the shield.
