Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 12, 1984.

The wavy bend symbolises the Mur river in the municipality. The man is taken from the arms of the Robinig von Rottenfeld family, a locally important family in the 18th and 18th century. The base shows a house with a smoking chimney, which refers to the arsenic production in the village in previous times.
