Origin/meaning

The Sea-Dragon is taken from the Arms of the Preseli district Council and indicates the location of the Station. The blue tail alludes to the previous use of the Station by the Royal Navy. The Sword indicates parentage of the Strike Command. The Prince of Wales's Badge signifies that He was Honorary Commodore of the Station. The Badge was granted in december 1984.
