Escudo de prata, com maça de madeira nodosa de vermelho, movente de campanha diminuta de três burelas ondadas de azul e prata, entre duas gavelas de espigas de trigo de verde, atadas de vermelho. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ S. CRISTÓVÃO - MONTEMOR-O-NOVO “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 24, 2002.

The walking stick refers to the local patron saint, St. Christopher (Cristovão). The bunches of wheat refer to the agricultural character of the parish, and the base refers to the São Cristovão river.
